“In Eugène Marais, South Africa came its closest yet to producing a genius”. This is according to the prize-winning author JM Coetzee. Who would not want to know more about this genius?
Our revised website now allows vistors to get to know Eugène Marais (and the Foundation) more intimately. There are, among others, a glance at his life in an uncomplicated timeline, a chronological overview of his work, an inventory of works about Marais and more.
We reserved space where we touch on activities on ‘The Campus’ page. In our ‘Archive’ page we proudly share the entries in our eclectic Marais-related collection.
There is also an index showing in excess of 500 books in our collection with reference to Marais and his times.
But most important is the Blog page. We consider it to be the link between the Foundation and the public where news, contributions, opinions, suggestions, commentary and criticisms can be accessed. We look forward to advancing Eugène Marais’ legacy – with the input from all interested parties.
